Airport Passenger Facility Charges/Segment Fees/September 11th Security Fee

A DEFINITION AND EXPLANATION OF PFCS/SEGMENT FEES/SEPTEMBER 11TH SECURITY FEE

The following three fees are included in the vacation price, due at time of final payment and subject to change at any time.

Passenger Facility Charge (PFC)
The PFC is a means of providing airports with revenue to be used in the financing of airport improvements without taxing local citizens. The amount of a PFC varies by airport. However, a passenger cannot be charged more than $18 for a round trip airline ticket.

Domestic Segment Fee
A US Government imposed per passenger fee used to finance federal aviation programs. Fee assessed on arrivals, departures and each take off regardless of passenger deplaning. Segment fees are $3.30 per segment per passenger for domestic air travel.

September 11th Security Fee
A US Government fee used to offset costs of providing federal aviation security services. Assessed per passenger per enplanement. However, a passenger cannot be charged more than $5 per one way trip or more than $10 per round trip.

Fuel Surcharge Fee
The fuel surcharge fee of $20 is per person and included in the above price.
